Boundless Spaces

Performance for large, open-air environments is always an interesting challenge. The question of scale drives many of the decisions for these performance designs. In the case of this project, the show was also being televised live which called for certain adaptability in the architecture of motion as there were two visual scales to consider, that of the camera close-ups for the broadcast and that of the live show that the stadium audience was viewing from a distance.

This one time momentous event offered a unique opportunity not only to deliver a memorable experience simultaneously to a live and viewing audience but also to discover and convey a sense of culturally cherished identity and pride to the people of the Emirates.
